Getting to the car and seeing Nixon, and then Nadine, I think is the first time that I actually exhaled. Being the bad ass; independent woman that I am; I was determined to come to Haiti by myself. I wanted to prove a point; to prove to everyone who criticized me; who tried to stop me but most of all to myself that I can 'put my money where my mount is' - lol
"Wowww" I said to Nadine "there are still lots of tents in Haiti? The only good changes I see is there are not cloth tents. Although, some of them are blue tarp; which I'm sure are covering the cloth tent."
Immediately getting in the car; I felt comfortable. Nixon, Nadine and Mr. Marven, I was told, arrived at the airport around 10:30 am. My plane was due to arrive at 12:55 pm; however, they didn't want me to wait; so because of the bad roads they left the house early. I was very grateful but also felt guilty and told Nadine. Nadine said "don't worry about it; it was no problem." I knew when I first met Nadine that I liked her; however, I think that was the moment that I knew she would be one of my new BFF.

Habitat for Humanity is working on a project to get homes built in Haiti to counter the "Tent City". See the video below:

Hi Sara, I will check their video but what get me going is when there are reports that Haiti is being rebuilt; when that isn't exactly true.
