Fw: Arrived at the House 20 minutes ago - now ready for bed - Nite; Nite - 4/6/10

We arrived at the house; safely without incident. Wellll that isn't exactly true. Believe it or night there was a police "check point" near Delmar. Yes a "police check POINT"; the cops pull us over because the car had a broken light.

The cop walk to the window with a rifle, full of attitude. At first we didn't know t was wrong; so Mr. Marven asked. The cop didn't even look at Mr Marven and ask for his papers. After he review the papers, he walk away with it at which time I took out my IDs. I just was not feeling this cop.

He came back gave Mr. Marven his papers and told him about the light. He looked at me; told Mr. Marven to fix the light and move on. You would have had to be there to understand the reason for my actions.

As soon as the cop to the window, I was cool but then I felt the fear coming from my friends in the car. I don't deal well with fear and I don't like intimidation tactics.

It was after the cop left that I asked what happened and I was told that these cops are know in Haiti for pulling cars over even without a problem and demanding money.

I can not say this is true because it didn't happen; however, trust me there was true fear in the car and no matter my first action is to try and protect.
