The puppies: Haiti residents don't seem to have the same appreciation of dogs as in the US.

During my trips I saw three dogs get hit by cars. Whenever, I'm in a car and see a dog; I always say "watch the dog; don't run it over" and it never fails; the driver would tell me "please dogs here are nothing" or "the dogs are thiefs; you shouldn't worry yourself". Jeezzzzz.
