This is a picture of Nadine's Uncle new house. The first house was destroyed by the earthquake and they are rebuilding the home mostly with wood which will be covered with some type of concrete. Another family member is concern that they house will not last because of termites; however, Nadine, Mr. Marven, Aunt Flor and Valdemir (our party) thought the house looks great.
I'm thrilled that I had a chance to see an almost completed house. Oh! Nothing is easy in Haiti; Nadine told me her Uncle had to buy all new materials including dirt because the neighbor next door told the stones and materials from the property after the earthquake. When asked why they took it; they were told they could. I guess they thought since the Doctor wasn't there then it was free.
